Community Connector Teresa shares a few reflections from the past month, including some inspiring local initiatives and the value of small connections in tough times.

The Dunedin Bowling Club - Kai delivery to Mosgiel on Tuesdays & Thursdays

HOW TO ORDER

1. Go to: thebowlingclub.co.nz/collections/delivery-orders

2. Select Tuesday or Thursday delivery.

3. Browse the menu and add your meals to your cart.

4. At checkout:

   • Choose your pickup point: Taieri Network

   • Add any special instructions (muesli flavour, dietary needs, etc.)

5. Enter payment details. If you need a discount code for free or low-cost meals, email us.

6. You'll receive an email and text confirmation.

WHEN TO ORDER

• Orders open midday Friday when the menu is updated.

• View the full menu anytime: thebowlingclub.co.nz/pages/menu

• Cut-off: Noon on the delivery day (e.g. Tuesday noon for Tuesday delivery).

• Ordering dessert from the day before? Please order early. If it sells out, we’ll refund you.

DELIVERY

• Meals are delivered by community volunteers before 4:30 PM on Tuesdays & Thursdays.

• Pickup spot: Inside Taieri Network, 176 Gordon Rd, Mosgiel

• Delivery updates are posted on our website page.

COST

Desserts: $3

Mains: $5–$8 (+$1 for packaging/admin)

Bowling Club Muesli (½ kg): $6

Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop

With Rory Harding from George Street Orchard

Join Rory Harding for an engaging, hands-on Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop hosted by Taieri Edible Garden Network & Taieri Network.

Learn how to care for your fruit trees with a modern, thoughtful approach that works with the natural tendencies of each species.

Rory will give practical demonstrations focusing on branch training (using string and spacers), minimal pruning on young trees, and the art of thinning cuts to balance fruiting and new growth. His method respects the individuality of each tree, helping you nurture productive and healthy orchards at home.

Spaces are limited to 15, so be in quick!
