Are you decorating for Christmas?

Youth Christmas Dance - for Yr9 & Yr10 students

Sat 14th December, 7pm - 10pm at the Taieri Rugby club, 35 Reid Ave, Mosgiel.

It's time to wrap up the year with an epic night filled with live music, dancing, and unforgettable memories! Grab your mates and get ready to vibe to bands, strike a pose in the photo booth, and enjoy a delicious supper!

We are excited to have the following bands playing:

Single Track NZ - a dynamic and versatile band from Dunedin, New Zealand, driven by a shared passion for music and live performance. With a diverse repertoire spanning rock classics, contemporary pop hits, soulful ballads, and funky grooves, we bring something special for fans of every genre.

Sunspot - formed for Smokefree Rockquest earlier this year, where they won Best Song at the regional final, SunSpot has since expanded their repertoire with covers and originals, performing at school events and gigs around Dunedin alongside other youth bands.

Mosgiel Retailers Shop Window

Retailers decorate their shop windows to enter to win the 'Best Shop Christmas Display' trophy and a morning tea shout for staff.

The winner for 2023 was Rosie's Gifts and Homewares! 

A Very Taieri Xmas Evening: Fri 6th December 5pm - 9pm

Join us for a festive evening, Gordon Road, Mosgiel! Get into the holiday spirit as local retailers stay open late, offering incredible in-store specials. 

To make the night even merrier, we’ll have: 

• Live Entertainment showcasing talent - SingleTrack, Jay Juggler, Taieri College Choir, Bleeding Roses, Ken Dodds & Jie Kang, Rhythmix Choir & Allister Taylor

• Food Trucks & Stalls with delicious treats - Churros Olé, Cup & Cone (real fruit ice creams), Abdal's Gourmet Foods, Akayla's Creations, Te Waahi Taraka Kai (The Spot Food Truck) Dunedin & The Dumpling Lady

• Tinsel the Elf from Rainbow Rosalind Parties, spreading holiday cheer

• Face Painting for all ages

• Santa's Grotto – bring the kids for a free Christmas photo with Santa! Located at Property Brokers Mosgiel, 125 Gordon Rd, Mosgiel🧑‍🎄

• Jay the Juggler

• Henna painting

Santa's Grotto - get your free family Santa photos taken on Fri 6th December, 5pm - 9pm.

The photos will then be uploaded to A Very Taieri Christmas Facebook page so you can download them for free to give to family and friends. 

Christmas Light Displays Heritage Bus Tours

Step back in time as you travel the streets of Mosgiel viewing the Christmas Lights in an Otago Heritage Bus. 

Bus Tour Dates (9pm - 10.15pm):

12th Dec - 1 low floor bus leaving from The Grange Lifecare Village, 19 Clachan Grange Rd, Mosgiel 

14th Dec - 2 buses 

16th Dec - 1 bus

20th Dec - 2 buses

21st Dec - 1 bus SOLD OUT

Tickets are $7.72 per person (under 5yrs* are free), so click on the date for the link to order your tickets. Leaving promptly at 9pm from the Mosgiel Scout Hall (beside the Taieri Rugby Club), 35 Reid Ave, Mosgiel unless otherwise specified.
