Community Christmas Tree - Tues 1st December 2026

Our community Christmas tree is brought to life each year thanks to the generosity, time and care of some wonderful local organisations and businesses. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helps make this Taieri tradition possible.

🎄 Mosgiel Rotary Club — our Christmas tree kaitiaki! Rotary lovingly looks after the tree and its decorations throughout the year, helps put the tree up and take it down, and brings plenty of jolly good company along the way.

🎄 Mosgiel Volunteer Fire Brigade — generously volunteers their time and expertise to safely erect and dismantle the tree each year.

🎄 Chevron Traffic Services — generously provides the essential traffic management needed to keep everyone safe during installation and removal.

🎄 ProPower — brings the tree to life by wiring up the Christmas lights.

🎄 Fairfield Transport — helps get the tree in place by transporting the shipping container.

🎄 Dunedin City Council — helps ensure the right plans and safety requirements are in place so the tree can go up safely.

🎄 Taieri Network - helps bring it all together by securing funding, taking care of the planning and paperwork, and coordinating the people and organisations who make this community tradition possible. We love seeing everyone come together to get the tree up!
